A temporary speed bump in the middle of a road

Speed Bump Application

Mayor Rivera and her team are working to make our streets safer by introducing more traffic calming measures, including removable speed bumps in areas with the most need. We're asking residents, business owners, and the Central Falls community to suggest locations for these speed bumps.

Please take 2 minutes to fill out this survey and share your ideas [link].

Your input will help our Police Department conduct traffic evaluations and prioritize areas for new speed bumps. Thank you for your feedback and participation!

Yard Waste Pickup

Yard waste pickup will began April 3, 2023. Pick-ups will be on Fridays only unless there is a holiday during the week. If so, pick up will be on Saturday. If yard waste is put out any other day, you may be subject to a fine.

To all homeowners and tenants, the Department of Public Works asks that residents please:

  • Avoid any disposal in sinks and toilets of grease, and other solid materials such as sanitary napkins, baby wipes, etc. to help prevent sewage blockage and backups.
  • Sweep light sidewalk debris (excess sand, etc.) into the street to be cleaned by the city's street sweeper.
